Orgasmic Pain
Have you heard of the concept of Orgasmic Pain?
What do you associate with this term when you hear it?
Can pain be orgasmic?
Have you ever experienced it and if yes ,how did it feel?
Orgasmic pain and Orgasmic pleasure
In the sexual arena the word ‘orgasm’ is usually associated with pleasure. Most of us have experienced such an orgasm : we fly on it, it feels great, exciting and liberating and usually afterwards we land in a place of calm and quiet.
The concept of orgasmic pain is a new concept: it came to me a few years ago after a deeply painful event. The pain felt so deep and excruciating that when attempting to articulate it to others I described it as a pain orgasm.
Since then I’ve started recognizing this phenomenon in sessions with my clients. You can’t confuse liberating crying from orgasmic crying.
The level of devotion in the pain orgasm is total, uninhibited, not conditioned by anything or anyone. In that moment there is only me and the experience of pain in its absolute purity.
It’s interesting to see that women who are struggling to experience pleasure orgasms have also difficulty experiencing pain orgasm.
From my experience I can only conclude that: the more we allow ourselves to experience pain to the fullest, the more naturally and fully pleasure will open to us.
